Backlink relevancy in search results: There’s a lot of questions around how much traffic do forum, blog, and Q&A posts really get? What is the value? Do people really come to my site because of these posts? The answer is yes, because even when the post itself doesn’t drive impressive traffic numbers, Google does. Search engines like Google follow those forum and blog links and review the content around them on the page where they exist, and compare it to the information and content on your site. Their algorithms review all of this for relevancy, and relevant content on relevant sites leads to better search engine rankings in natural results. That leads to more traffic to your site, and eventually that leads to more revenue. Simply put, it’s good SEO.
